Tiyaan, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, is all set to release this Eid. Though the trailer and character posters are out, there is still a mysterical behaviour for the movie and it has developed much hype for the movie. Written by Murali Gopy, Tiyaan is directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar and is produced by Haneef Mohammed with a mammoth budget of 25 Cr. Here is what the scripter and actor Murali Gopy has to speak about the movie. He speaks about Tiyaan, Lucifer and his writings. “Tiyaan should be experienced in theatres and it will be a pan Indian movie which is shot completely in India and abroad Kerala. The movie is a view upon the present political and social conditions. Malayalee has something to convey to the larger India. As the trailer speaks the movie is completely shot in the land of Hindi and Tiyaan is what the Malayalee has to express to the land of Hindi.”
“Indian Realism is of different levels and the concept ‘realistic’ has a western origin. Realistic is what we see with our naked eyes. Tiyaan originates from the thought of what is ‘Indian Realism’. It has different grades. It differs from a religious, a journalist, a politician etc. India has a mindscape of spreading out all these different plains of realism as one. Tiyaan focuses on exploring what we see as realistic and the movie aims at it also.”
He also answered the question whether it was made for the stars or the stars came later to the story. “I don’t write for a particular star and I see the stars in my characters when they become suitable for it. My process is to find out the apt actors for the roles after the story is written. There are many new comers through my movies, including main characters.” When he was asked about his role as Remakant Mahashay he told “As an actor I always to prefer to do different roles. That is the reason why I had acted only in 17 or 18 movies so far. Tiyaan places a different milieu. The character Remakant Mahashay also falls in this category. I don’t like to speak more about the character because that would give a frequency notion about it.”
